Origin Story
Deceptio.ai was built from more than 30 years of real-world law enforcement experience.
Mark McClish served with the United States Secret Service and for 24 years with the United States Marshals Service. During his career, Mark developed the proprietary Statement Analysis® method based on decades of investigative and interview experience in the field. The principle behind the method is simple: when people provide open statements, their words often reveal far more than they intend.
For nearly a decade, Mark trained local, state, and federal law enforcement professionals at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers in Glynco, Georgia. His work focused on detecting deception in suspect, victim, and witness statements, along with advanced interviewing techniques.
More than 25,000 professionals have been trained in our proprietary Statement Analysis® methods and investigative interviewing techniques, including law enforcement officers, intelligence officers, insurance fraud investigators, attorneys, private investigators, human resource professionals, and many more.
Deceptio.ai was created from that field experience, bringing the same analytical approach used by experienced investigators into a practical AI platform designed to assist interviewers, investigators, and analysts.
In addition to Statement Analysis®, Deceptio.ai provides deepfake media detection for images, video, and audio. The platform helps investigators, interviewers, analysts, and organizations evaluate digital evidence and media for signs of manipulation, synthetic content, and fraudulent activity.
The Deceptio.ai system and methodology are proprietary and patent pending.
The platform is built around one core idea:
Words Reveal the Truth™
When someone is attempting to hide deception, maintaining consistency in a detailed statement becomes difficult. The language they choose can reveal forms of deception that Deceptio.ai is designed to identify.
Their words often reveal more than they realize.
